On the 1st, a post titled "Pregnant woman born in 1998" was uploaded to an anonymous community for office workers that requires job verification for membership. As of the 17th, the post had garnered 28,000 views and 500 comments, becoming a major topic of discussion. The author, A, who completed public servant job verification, began by saying, "My husband and I have the same job. We got married last year, and I am currently pregnant."

A explained the situation: "I always thought we should have two children, so I didn’t use contraception right after we got married, and I got pregnant immediately. Both sets of parents were very happy." However, the reactions around A were different. People criticized her for being pregnant in her twenties. A said, "I don’t understand why everyone is making such a fuss. Honestly, I’m a homebody who doesn’t really like traveling or drinking, so I never thought about going out more. I just wanted to raise the child quickly and then spend time with my husband."

A added, "My husband is also family-oriented, so the pregnancy period has been very happy and everything is good," but also said, "People around me always talk as if the world ends once you get pregnant and start raising a child, which is troubling." She continued, "I don’t know if it’s because of my age, but I haven’t gained much weight physically since becoming pregnant, and I don’t have any health issues. All my tests come back normal. I’m grateful to have a healthy pregnancy without any major incidents, but I don’t understand why there is so much interest in my twenties. I’m not that young."

Netizens who read the story expressed sharply divided opinions. The majority responded with comments such as, "It’s surprising because I don’t have any pregnant friends around me, but since she’s already pregnant, she should just be congratulated," "Congratulations on your pregnancy," "Medically, it’s better to get pregnant and give birth at a younger age," "Having raised children myself, I only think ‘I should have had them earlier.’ I’m jealous," and "It seems like a good choice."

On the other hand, some netizens reacted with comments like, "Is it necessary to be so sharp when someone is sincerely worried?" "Youth doesn’t come back," "It’s not about pregnancy; it’s about problems with the husband or in-laws being indirectly advised," "People still have children these days?" "Having children means money, so that’s why," and "Having kids at a young age is immature because you end up relying on your parents."
