Hi Investment & Securities, Enhancement of U.S. Stock Services

Hi Investment & Securities is strengthening the competitiveness of its US stock platform through the advancement of its US stock services.

On the 17th, Hi Investment & Securities announced that it will simultaneously launch collateral loans, differential margin, and server automatic order services related to overseas stocks.

These services, which were applied to domestic stock trading, have been expanded to US stock trading, significantly enhancing convenience for US stock investors.

First, with the introduction of the US stock collateral loan service, investors can conveniently procure funds needed for US stock investment. Investors can use their US stocks held in their accounts as collateral to receive loans, making it useful for investment purposes. The eligible loan stocks include 137 stocks that meet the conditions set by Hi Investment & Securities, including major index components such as the S&P 500 and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The loan period is 90 days and can be extended, with a maximum loan limit of 1 billion KRW per investor, up to 50% of the stock valuation amount. The collateral maintenance ratio is 170%, and collateral is evaluated based on KRW and USD deposits, as well as domestic and US stocks.

Additionally, through the introduction of differential margin, differentiated margins are applied by stock. This aims to provide investors with flexible investment opportunities through efficient capital management. A 50% margin is applied to the 137 stocks eligible for collateral loans selected by Hi Investment & Securities. Previously, purchases of all US stocks were only possible within the range of available cash, but for stocks with differential margin applied, purchases up to twice the available cash are now possible.

The stocks eligible for collateral loans and differential margin are selected quarterly and may be changed frequently depending on stock issues and local conditions.

Furthermore, with the introduction of the server automatic order service, investors can automatically execute US stock trading orders based on pre-set conditions. This service applies to all stocks listed on the US stock market during regular trading hours. When the desired market conditions are detected, orders are automatically executed, enabling active response to rapidly changing markets. Up to 100 conditions such as stock price, rate of change, and trading volume can be set, and the set conditions are maintained for 31 days.

Investors holding US stock accounts with Hi Investment & Securities can use the service by applying through the Mobile Trading System (MTS) and Home Trading System (HTS).
