"Samsung Electro-Mechanics Offers Coffee"...Unique Recruitment Events at Sungkyunkwan University, Hanyang University, and Seoul National University

Coffee Truck Event at Sungkyunkwan University, Suwon

Samsung Electro-Mechanics announced on the 16th that it held a coffee truck event targeting students taking final exams at Sungkyunkwan University in Suwon. The purpose was to promote the company and enhance its recruitment competitiveness among outstanding technical talents.


Wearing witty T-shirts such as 'Samsung Electro-Mechanics First, #Maknae Wanted,' Samsung Electro-Mechanics recruitment staff supported university students and promoted the company by offering coffee as well as various prize events including Galaxy Watches, cameras, and vitamins. Additionally, a career consulting booth was operated to allow students to discuss employment and career concerns with current employees.

Park Bong-su, Vice President and Head of the People Team at Samsung Electro-Mechanics, said, "We prepared this event to support students who are struggling with exam preparations," adding, "We hope this will be an opportunity for talents to take an interest in Samsung Electro-Mechanics and materials and components."


Samsung Electro-Mechanics started the coffee truck event at Sungkyunkwan University on the 14th, and will continue at Hanyang University on the 17th and Seoul National University on the 20th, with plans to install coffee trucks at more universities in the second half of the year.


Samsung Electro-Mechanics is focusing its capabilities on nurturing and securing outstanding technical talents. The company has held major product T&C (Tech & Career) forums for lenses, semiconductor package substrates, and other products, as well as 'Next-Generation Materials and Components Development Talent Welcome Day.' It has also signed a recruitment-linked talent development agreement with Pohang University of Science and Technology to operate customized education programs and research projects for materials and components. In April, Jang Deok-hyun, President of Samsung Electro-Mechanics, introduced technology trends, Samsung Electro-Mechanics’ competitiveness, and new businesses to students of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Seoul National University, putting effort into talent acquisition.
