President Yoon Suk-yeol and his wife returned to Seoul Airport early on the 16th after completing state visits to three countries: Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

President Yoon's current tour began in Turkmenistan and continued with visits to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Departing on the 10th, he visited Turkmenistan until the 11th, Kazakhstan from the 11th to the 13th, and Uzbekistan from the 13th to the 15th, holding talks with the respective heads of state.

Through this tour, President Yoon aimed to strengthen the energy and critical mineral supply chain cooperation with the three Central Asian countries that possess key minerals, while actively supporting Korean companies operating in Central Asia to secure contracts.

Additionally, he secured full support and participation from the three countries visited for the South Korean government's Central Asia regional strategy, the 'K-Silk Road' initiative.

Meanwhile, the three Central Asian countries visited on this state visit are emerging strategic hubs and resource-rich nations rapidly rising in the global market, and are countries where former Presidents Park Geun-hye and Moon Jae-in also held summit talks and state visits.
