Dongdaemun-gu Residents' One Heart Walking Day Event Held

Spending Time for Community Harmony While Walking Along Hongneung Forest Trail on the 15th

Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Ilhyung Lee) announced on the morning of the 15th that it held the ‘2024 Dongdaemun-gu Residents One Heart Walking Day’ event hosted by the Dongdaemun-gu Sports Council.

The ‘2024 Dongdaemun-gu Residents One Heart Walking Day’ was held at the ‘Hongneung Forest Trail’ of the National Institute of Forest Science, continuing from last year. The event was hosted by comedian Kim Hanguk.

After children’s musical jump rope, a pre-event performance by the cheering squad of the University of Seoul, and warm-up exercises, the main walking event began in earnest.

Participants, who started in sync with the drumbeat of Mayor Ilhyung Lee of Dongdaemun-gu, spent time communicating and harmonizing with family and neighbors while walking along the Hongneung Forest Trail.

Participants who passed the turning point were given small souvenirs, and the performances and prize giveaways (▲home appliances ▲daily necessities ▲bicycles, etc.) following the walk added vitality to the event.

Mayor Ilhyung Lee of Dongdaemun-gu said, “I deeply appreciate the consideration of the National Institute of Forest Science for opening the Hongneung Forest Trail as the venue for Walking Day again this year to promote community harmony,” and added, “We will always strive to make Dongdaemun-gu the way residents want.”
