Seosan Hillside Fire Extinguished
At around 3:12 PM on the 15th, a fire broke out in the hills around Daegok-ri, Haemi-myeon, Seosan-si, Chungnam, burning forest land and trees before being extinguished after 1 hour and 27 minutes.
The forestry authorities deployed three wildfire suppression helicopters, 15 firefighting vehicles, and 40 personnel to put out the fire.
An official from the Korea Forest Service Central Forest Disaster Situation Room stated, "This wildfire is presumed to have spread from an excavator fire," and urged, "When performing tasks with a high risk of fire near forest areas, please thoroughly establish fire prevention measures before proceeding."
