[Weather] Rain and Showers Across Most of the Country... Heat in the Central Region 'Eases'

On Saturday the 15th, most areas nationwide will have cloudy skies with rain or showers.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, rain is expected in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon Province until night, and in Jeju Island until daytime, depending on the location. Showers will occur in the Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Gyeongsang regions.

Expected precipitation amounts are ▲5-20mm in western Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi, ▲5-40mm in eastern Gyeonggi, ▲10-40mm on the five western islands, ▲5-40mm in inland and mountainous Gangwon, ▲5-20mm on the Gangwon east coast and Jeju.

Expected precipitation amounts in areas with showers are ▲5-40mm in Chungbuk, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk, ▲5-10mm in Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungnam, ▲5-20mm in Gwangju, Jeonnam, Jeonbuk, Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongsan.

Showers will be concentrated in narrow areas, causing significant differences in precipitation zones and amounts even within the same region. It is advisable to refer to the latest weather information.

Visibility will be reduced and roads slippery in areas with rain or showers, so caution is needed for traffic safety. Some places may experience rain or showers accompanied by gusts, thunder, and lightning.

Hail is expected in some inland areas, so attention should be paid to facility and crop management.

The highest temperatures nationwide on this day are expected to range from 25 to 33 degrees Celsius. The forecasted highest temperatures in major cities are ▲Seoul 28°C ▲Incheon 25°C ▲Chuncheon 27°C ▲Gangneung 29°C ▲Daejeon 30°C ▲Jeonju 29°C ▲Gwangju 31°C ▲Daegu 33°C ▲Busan 29°C ▲Jeju 28°C.

In the central region, due to rain and showers, daytime temperatures will drop below 30°C, about 5 degrees lower than the previous day, easing the heat. However, the southern region will see temperatures above 30°C, and inland Gyeongsang will rise to around 33°C.

On Sunday the 16th, the sky will be mostly cloudy nationwide but will gradually clear from the morning. There is a chance of rain in some inland areas of Gangwon during the early morning.

The lowest temperatures on the 16th are expected to be between 17 and 22 degrees Celsius, and the highest temperatures between 25 and 31 degrees Celsius.
