Hwasun-gun Honored as Top Institution in Jeonnam Dasan Safety Award Comprehensive Evaluation

Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Bok-gyu) has been honored as the Best Institution (1st place in the province) in the comprehensive evaluation of the '6th Jeollanam-do Dasan Safety Award.'

According to Hwasun-gun on the 14th, the Dasan Safety Award has been implemented by Jeollanam-do since 2018 to reflect on the benevolent philosophy of disaster prevention, response, and safety emphasized by Dasan Jeong Yak-yong in the Mokminsimseo, and to establish a safety culture.

In the city and county category, the award-winning institutions are selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of ▲Safety Culture Movement ▲Safety Korea Training ▲Disaster Management ▲Disaster Prevention Projects. Hwasun-gun received high evaluations in each field and won first place in Jeollanam-do.

In particular, last year, Hwasun-gun received high praise in safety culture movements such as various support projects targeting vulnerable groups, including providing heatwave prevention supplies and life-saving towels (evacuation masks), monthly safety promotion campaigns, and visiting safety education.

Gu Bok-gyu, Governor of Hwasun-gun, said, "As the importance of safety grows day by day, this award in the comprehensive evaluation of disaster safety is very meaningful," and added, "We will continue to do our best to create a safe community through safety activities with the residents."
