NH Investment & Securities Conducts Rural Labor Support on 'Farmers' Cooperative One Heart Rural Labor Support Day'

NH Investment & Securities announced on the 16th that it conducted volunteer work to assist with farm labor in celebration of the 'National Agricultural Cooperative Federation One Heart Rural Labor Support Day.'

President Byungwoon Yoon of NH Investment & Securities, Chairman Changwook Lee of the Labor Union, and 43 executives and employees visited a grape farm in the Geomdan area of Incheon on the 14th to assist with labor shortages, including putting grape bags on the grapes.

On the 14th, Yoon Byung-woon, President of NH Investment & Securities, along with Lee Chang-wook, Chairman of the Labor Union, and 43 employees visited a grape farm in the Geomdan area of Incheon to help with labor shortages by bagging grapes. Additionally, after supporting the grape farm, NH Investment & Securities employees purchased rice produced in the Geomdan area of Incheon. This rural volunteer activity was carried out as part of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation's One Heart Rural Labor Support Day, a day dedicated to intensively assisting with labor shortages during the farming season, with NH Investment & Securities participating as a member of the federation.

NH Investment & Securities conducts rural labor support activities annually. Starting with rural volunteer work by the Finance Headquarters 1 in April, employees from the Wholesale Business Division, OCIO Headquarters, and others are participating in 'Together Village' farming season labor support activities. In 2023, a total of 30 'Together Village' labor support activities were conducted, with 998 employees participating. Since 2016, NH Investment & Securities has been steadily carrying out the 'Together Village Making' volunteer program to support farmers facing difficulties in farming activities. Currently, it has partnerships with 31 villages nationwide, actively supporting farming season labor assistance, direct agricultural product markets, and other village development projects.

President Yoon Byung-woon stated, "Through the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation One Heart Rural Labor Support Day event, we felt a sense of fulfillment in helping with the shortage of rural labor as a member of the federation, and we expect increased interest and participation from our employees." He added, "As a member of the NH Cooperative Group, we will continue to strive for mutual development between urban and rural areas through ongoing exchanges and cooperation."

As part of the NH Cooperative Group, NH Investment & Securities actively practices social responsibility activities, including annual rural labor support, farm assistance, and scholarship programs. Funds raised at the Ladies Championship tournament in May have been used to create windbreak forests to improve livestock environments, leading efforts for coexistence in agriculture and livestock industries. Since 2017, the company has also contributed to nurturing talent needed for rural development by selecting outstanding scholarship students from low-income families in rural areas. It supports about 40 students annually and has selected a total of 760 Hope Tree scholarship students through 2024.
