On the 14th, Samil Accounting Corporation held a partners' general meeting and made personnel appointments for 27 newly appointed partners and key executive partners.
The newly appointed partners this year include experts in core industries such as defense, bio, virtual assets, and finance, as well as service specialists supporting global business expansion such as initial public offerings (IPO) and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) for overseas market entry.
At the same meeting, Hong Jun-gi was appointed as the head of the Audit Division, Min Jun-seon as the head of the Deal Division, and Lee Seung-ho as the head of the newly established Finance Division. Samil established the Finance Division head position to enhance expertise in the financial industry and strengthen market competitiveness.
Hong Jun-gi, head of the Audit Division, was born in 1971 and graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Business Administration before joining Samil Accounting Corporation. He was later dispatched to PwC’s San Jose office in the United States, where he worked for two years. After being promoted to partner in 2012, he contributed to the growth of Samil’s Audit Division by leading sectors such as advanced technology, media, and telecommunications industries. He is especially recognized for his strengths in global business, having led the overseas listing services team that assisted Coupang’s listing on the U.S. stock market. Through this appointment, Samil’s Audit Division is expected to enhance service quality beyond global standards and expand its service areas in various fields.
Min Jun-seon, head of the Deal Division, was born in 1971 and graduated with a bachelor's and master's degree in Business Administration from Korea University before joining Samil Accounting Corporation. Promoted to partner in 2010, he has provided advisory services on acquisitions and sales, valuation, and spin-offs for major domestic companies such as POSCO and the Korea Development Bank. Having served as the leader of Entrepreneurial & Private Business services and deputy leader of the Deal Division, he is recognized for his expertise and leadership across various scales and industries, making him well-suited to help Samil maintain its number one market share in M&A.
Lee Seung-ho, head of the Finance Division, was born in 1973 and graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Business Administration before joining Samil Accounting Corporation. Promoted to partner in 2010, he is acknowledged as a financial expert, having advised on Shinhan Financial Group’s U.S. stock market listing. Notably, he has led Samil’s digital and IT audit teams, integrating digital technology into audit work, achieving over 170,000 hours of annual work efficiency improvements, and making significant contributions to audit quality enhancement and work innovation.
CEO Yoon Hoon-soo commented on the appointments, saying, “We focused on strengthening diversity, industry and service expertise, business expansion, and digital innovation capabilities that future leadership must possess.” He added, “Even in uncertain market conditions, these leaders will continue to drive growth momentum and deliver the highest value to client companies.”
