Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Junseok) announced on the 14th that it is recruiting companies to acquire and operate a logistics warehouse located in the Phase 1 North Container Hinterland Complex of Busan New Port until September 11.
The subject of the acquisition is a logistics warehouse situated at 1323 Yongwon-dong, Jinhae-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam, covering an area of 30,467.1 square meters. The property consists of four buildings, four temporary structures, machinery and equipment, infrastructure, and construction machinery (including three forklifts).
This process follows the application for disposal by an existing company that has been operating in the North Container Hinterland Complex. Busan Port Authority will select a new operator for the warehouse through an open competitive bidding process.
Companies interested in the acquisition must visit the Busan Port Authority (New Port Branch) in person to submit their business proposals by 3:00 p.m. on September 11.
Busan Port Authority will evaluate the participating companies based on business capability, performance and plans related to foreign cargo and value-added logistics, employment performance and plans, safety accident prevention and response plans, and construction plans. The company with the highest score will be selected as the preferred negotiation partner.
The company selected as the preferred negotiation partner will proceed to sign a sales contract with the transferring company through mutual agreement.
A briefing session regarding the bidding process will be held at 2:00 p.m. on the 21st of this month at the Busan New Port Welfare Plus Center. For more details, please refer to the bidding information board on the Busan Port Authority website.
