Busan Southern Office of Education Supports On-Site Implementation of 2022 Revised Curriculum

Nine-Day Subject-Specific Teacher Training Starting from the 17th

Busan Nambu Office of Education (Superintendent Park Guija) will hold a '2022 Revised Curriculum Subject-Specific Training Course to Enhance Understanding' for about 500 middle school subject teachers at the education office's main auditorium and conference room for nine days starting from the 17th.

This training aims to support the smooth implementation of the new curriculum, which will be applied to first-year middle school students starting in the 2025 academic year.

The office has selected 14 instructors, including Sim Minhye, the head teacher at Bunpo Middle School and a leading teacher for the 2022 Revised Curriculum, as well as other key teachers for the 2022 Revised Curriculum, to lead the training sessions.

The training will focus on the main points of the 2022 Revised Curriculum general guidelines and the major changes in the curricula of 12 subjects, including Korean, mathematics, and English, and will be conducted with customized lectures and activities for each subject.

Participating teachers will deepen their understanding of the '2022 Revised Curriculum' through a total of six hours of lectures (three hours on the general guidelines and three hours on subject-specific curricula), group discussions, and lesson design practice.
