Segye Hansang Dream Island is a project developing approximately 3.33 million square meters of idle port land near Yeongjong Bridge in Jung-gu, Incheon. This area is about 1.1 times the size of Yeouido in Seoul. It is being promoted as part of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries' port redevelopment project and the Incheon Free Economic Zone development project.

This project began in 2014 with investment from Changwoo Han, a Korean-Japanese entrepreneur and chairman of the World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Associations. After starting site preparation construction in March 2019, all infrastructure work including roads, water supply and sewage, electricity, and telecommunications was completed earlier this year. In March, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries also completed the official inspection process.

Hansang Dream Island will include ▲ a 26-hole public golf course ▲ Ocean Marina Resort and Water Park, waterfront commercial facilities ▲ neighborhood living facilities gathering various commercial establishments ▲ accommodation facilities such as hotels and condos ▲ sports facilities including baseball and futsal fields ▲ camping facilities ▲ educational and research facilities ▲ medical tourism facilities. Among these, the sports and camping facilities have been completed, and construction of the golf course is underway with a planned opening next year.

In the island’s park zone, green parks offering attractions such as sculptural hills and wildflower parks will be created. A large-scale outdoor performance space capable of hosting concerts and other events will also be established.

The island will be accessible within 20 minutes by car from Yeouido once the Hansang IC (Seoul direction), which allows entry and exit from the Incheon Airport Expressway and Seoul direction, is opened.

Next year, accessibility will improve further with the completion of the 'Third Intercontinental Bridge' connecting Cheongna International City and Yeongjong Island, and the connection of the 'Yeongjong Coastal Circular Road' to Hansang IC.

With the completion of the 'Third Intercontinental Bridge' connecting Cheongna International City and Yeongjong Island next year and the connection of the 'Yeongjong Coastal Circular Road' to Hansang IC, accessibility will be further enhanced. A representative of Segye Hansang Dream Island stated, "It is expected that about 3.6 million people will use the facilities annually once all construction within the project site is completed."

Some of the development land in the central part of the Hansang Dream Island complex has been sold. A comprehensive development plan is currently being discussed to recruit developers to build residences combined with medical facilities, hotels, and commercial facilities. Operators for the golf course and water park have been selected, and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries is finalizing plans for the state-owned educational research land within the site.

Meanwhile, six plots totaling 21,696 square meters designated for neighborhood living facilities, parking lots, and rest areas will have buyers selected through bidding from this month until the 10th of next month. Additionally, remaining commercial facility land owned by Hansang Dream Island will be supplied further.
