Naver announced on the 14th that it will recruit 'Clip Creators' to be active in the second half of this year until the 9th of next month. The 2,500 selected Clip Creators will be active for five months from August 5 to December 31.
The second half Clip Creator program has subdivided the activity categories from the previous 10 to 25. The scale of creator benefits has also been expanded more than twice compared to the first half. All Clip Creators who upload more than 10 short-form contents every month will receive 100,000 won in Naver Pay points as activity fees monthly. A total of 2.5 billion won worth of benefits will be provided, including awards based on activity performance and the Clip Incentive Program.
In particular, second half Clip Creators will have expanded opportunities to earn revenue by participating in the 'Clip Incentive Program (Beta)'. Naver plans to operate the 'Clip Incentive Program' for Clip Creators who meet certain criteria and pay a total of 800 million won in revenue in the second half of this year. The Clip Incentive Program will undergo a testing period this year and will be officially launched next year.
Additionally, Clip Creators can participate in the partnership program 'Brand Connect,' which allows them to collaborate with various brands to produce content or participate in campaigns, as well as the educational program 'Clip Creator School,' which helps strengthen storytelling and content production capabilities.
Meanwhile, Naver Clip's daily playback count increased fourfold compared to January as of last May, and the per capita playback count (the number of videos watched by one user per day) doubled. Going forward, Naver plans to expand the content recommendation area within the Naver app to help Clip Creators showcase their content to more users and enhance user experience through content recommendations tailored to interests and preferences.
