Community Facilities Set as Standards for Luxury Apartments, First and Largest Specialized Community Facilities Draw Attention
Demand is gathering in complexes that excel not only in location and future value but also in community facilities. Differentiated community facilities create a luxurious image for apartment complexes and lead to an increase in value.
Last year, a survey conducted by the Korean Gallup Research Institute asked respondents to choose their preferred type of housing from about 10 options. Housing with diverse community facilities accounted for a high proportion at 27%. This figure is 3 percentage points higher than the previous year (24%), indicating a continuous increase in preference for residential complexes with community facilities.
Accordingly, newly built apartment community facilities are becoming increasingly diverse to the extent that most daily life activities can be carried out within the complex. Fitness centers and indoor golf practice ranges, once envied, are now considered basic options. Recently, sky communities, banquet halls, care centers, saunas, and more have been added.
Hyundai Engineering plans to launch sales this month for ‘Hillstate Cheongju Central 2nd Phase’ in Gagyeong-dong, Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do. The complex consists of two buildings from basement level 6 to ground level 49, with units ranging from 84 to 197 square meters, totaling 258 households. On the top floor, the 49th floor, the first-ever sky community in Cheongju City will be established. The sky community will include a sky fitness center, sky bridge, party room, and a sky lounge with dining rooms. Additionally, on the 4th floor, various facilities such as a screen golf course and Hills Lounge will be provided for residents.
Furthermore, exclusive storage spaces for each household will be available from basement levels 2 to 6, allowing for the storage of leisure and seasonal items. Concierge services (paid services) will also be offered for residents.
GS Construction is developing ‘Suncheon Grand Park Xi’ in Pungdeok-dong, Suncheon-si, Jeollanam-do. ‘The Sharp Sokcho Prime View,’ located in Geumho-dong, Sokcho-si, Gangwon-do, will have the largest community facilities in Sokcho. It will include a fitness center, GX room, Pilates room, and other sports zones, as well as edu-family zones for children’s education and families.
