According to the global professional golf player income rankings for the past year released by the American business magazine Forbes on the 12th (local time), Rahm earned $218 million (approximately 299.3 billion KRW), ranking first. Forbes announced the top 10 highest earners across all sports in May, and this time, ahead of the US Open, they separately selected and revealed the top 10 golf players.

Rahm ranked second overall in professional sports, following Cristiano Ronaldo (soccer, Portugal, $260 million). Although he has not won since the Masters in April last year and will miss the US Open starting on the 13th due to injury, he dominated the income category. He earns more than 800 million KRW per day. Rahm reportedly received a huge transfer fee when he left the PGA Tour in December last year and moved to LIV. The exact transfer fee has not been disclosed, but American and European media have estimated it to be up to $450 million.

Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) is in second place with $83 million, which is less than half of Rahm's income. 'Golf Emperor' Tiger Woods is third ($67 million), and world number one Scottie Scheffler (both from the United States) is fourth ($61 million).

Among the top 10 golf player income rankings last year, six players belonged to LIV Golf. Cameron Smith (Australia) is fifth ($47 million), Bryson DeChambeau sixth ($44 million), Brooks Koepka seventh ($43 million), Phil Mickelson ninth ($38 million), and Dustin Johnson (both from the United States) is tenth ($37 million). Viktor Hovland (Norway), a PGA Tour member, ranks eighth ($40 million).
