Safety Inspections and Consulting for Electrical, Fire, and Flooding
Applications Must Be Submitted by Visiting by the 21st of This Month
Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced on the 13th that it will conduct safety inspections to prevent safety accidents such as fires and floods targeting clothing manufacturing companies in the district.
There are about 1,600 clothing manufacturing companies in Dongdaemun-gu, and most of the small-scale companies operate in environments vulnerable to safety issues such as semi-basements and fire hazards. Accordingly, the district will carry out safety inspections for 100 small-scale clothing manufacturing companies during the off-season production period of July to August.
The inspection will be conducted by safety-specialized companies visiting the clothing manufacturers to perform comprehensive safety checks on electricity, fire prevention, flooding, etc., followed by consulting and safety education tailored to the characteristics of the target facilities.
The safety inspection targets are companies registered in Dongdaemun-gu with fewer than 10 regular employees. Companies wishing to apply should visit the Economic Promotion Division of the district office by the 21st of this month with ▲business registration certificate ▲value-added tax standard certificate ▲national and local tax payment certificates. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and for more details, inquiries can be made to the Economic Promotion Division.
Mayor Lee Pil-hyung said, “The importance of preventing safety accidents cannot be emphasized enough,” and added, “We will continue to prepare various support measures so that the district can be a reliable pillar for small fashion sewing businesses.”
