Full Support for Surgery and Hospitalization Including Artificial Joints for 12 People Annually

Gangnam-gu Signs Agreement with The Dream Hospital to Support Low-Income Patients for Artificial Joint and Arthroscopy Surgeries Provided by Gangnam-gu.

Gangnam-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) announced on the 13th that on the 12th, it signed a business agreement at the district office with Daechi-dong The Dream Hospital and Gangnam Welfare Foundation to support low-income individuals requiring artificial joint and arthroscopic surgery and inpatient treatment.


When the district and the welfare foundation identify and recommend low-income individuals in need of artificial joint and arthroscopic surgery, Gangnam The Dream Hospital will conduct pre-surgery examinations and perform the surgeries. The hospital will cover all medical expenses, including examination and surgery costs as well as 2 to 3 weeks of hospitalization fees. One person will be supported each month, totaling 12 people annually, with plans to expand the support recipients in the future.


The agreement ceremony was attended by Jo Seong-myeong, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, Do Gwan-hong, Chief Director of The Dream Hospital, and Shim Gye-won, Chairman of Gangnam Welfare Foundation. On the day, Gangnam The Dream Hospital donated rice weighing approximately 4,500 kg to underprivileged groups.


Mayor Jo Seong-myeong stated, “This agreement enables us to provide essential medical services to vulnerable groups suffering from joint diseases,” and added, “We will continue to cooperate with local medical institutions to support customized medical services for vulnerable groups.”
