Jeonbuk Provincial Government visited harvesting farms to help with the labor shortage during the busy farming season and worked up a sweat.
According to the province on the 13th, the Agricultural Life, Livestock and Food Bureau carried out labor assistance at an onion harvesting farm in Cheongung-myeon, Imsil-gun that morning.

About 40 employees from the Agricultural Life, Livestock and Food Bureau participated in the labor assistance. They helped with the onion harvesting work for about three hours. Despite the scorching sun, the participants harvested onions with one heart, spending a valuable time personally experiencing the hardships of farmers.
The owner of the onion farm expressed gratitude, saying, "We were struggling with a shortage of labor during the busy farming season, but having so many public officials help us was a great support for our farming."
Kim Sin-jung, Director of Agricultural Distribution Division, said, "The labor shortage during the busy farming season is a serious issue," adding, "We will continue to seek various support measures to alleviate the difficulties from the farmers' perspective."
