Cheongwoon University announced on the 12th that it held an opening ceremony for the University Job Plus Center located on the first floor of the Startup Incubation Center.
About 50 people attended the event, including Lee Junho, Chairman of Hyejeon Academy Foundation; Jeong Yoon, President of Cheongwoon University; Lee Sang-geun, member of the Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Council; Jo Gwang-hee, Deputy Governor of Hongseong County; Lee Hye-sook, President of Hyejeon University; Kim Hyun-chul, Dean of Korea Polytechnic University Chungnam Campus; Choi Kyung-ho, Director of the Boryeong Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor; Lee Seong-chan, Chairman of the Hongseong County Entrepreneurs Association; and Park Du-kyung, Director of the University Job Plus Center, along with other local community officials.
Cheongwoon University was selected as the preferred negotiating university for the “2024 University Job Plus Center Hub Type” project hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor in February and was the only university selected in the southwestern Chungnam region.
This project aims to establish a delivery system that integrates and connects the university’s employment support functions and infrastructure to strengthen the university’s capacity to provide youth-specialized employment services and support young people’s entry into the labor market.
The project period is up to six years, with an annual budget totaling 720 million KRW (420 million KRW from the national government and 300 million KRW from the university and local governments).
President Jeong said, “Through the opening ceremony of the University Job Plus Center, we will strive even harder to support employment and career paths for current students, graduates, and local youth to expand employment and promote regional development.”
