Support for 'Kyunghee Challenge' Program... Preliminary Candidates for Kyochon Chicken New Menu

Kyung Hee University announced on the 14th that since last year, it has been supporting the planning and operation of educational programs within colleges, departments, and graduate schools under the name "Kyung Hee Challenge Project."

In the project, which was first launched last year, the College of Hotel and Tourism, College of Pharmacy, College of Political Science and Economics, College of Applied Sciences, Department of French Language in the College of Foreign Languages, College of Engineering, and Graduate School of Art Fusion Design were selected and are currently operating various programs.

The College of Hotel and Tourism is running the "Hotel and Tourism Industry-Linked Leadership Development Program: PICKLE" as part of the project. The program proceeds in the sequence of pre-theoretical education → industry-linked problem-solving education → field learning → reflection & networking → on-site recruitment.

Students enrolled in the Food Product Development course in the Department of Culinary & Food Design conducted a new product development project in collaboration with Kyochon Chicken. This course starts with the formation of a TF team and covers the entire new product development process, including product development and quality evaluation, processing and storage, securing product safety, packaging planning, and product launch.

Among the total of 10 menus developed through students' ideas, some will undergo additional improvement work and be added to Kyochon Chicken's new product candidate list.
