Dong-A University Signs MOU with Busan Facilities Corporation

Attracting National Projects, Advancing Technology Development, and Improving Work Efficiency

Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) has signed a business agreement with the Busan Facilities Corporation (Chairperson Lee Seongrim) for mutual growth and addressing local issues.

The signing ceremony, held on the 11th at the main conference room of Dong-A University's Seunghak Campus, was attended by President Lee, Chairperson Lee, Choi Jeongho, Head of the LINC3.0 Project Group at Dong-A University, Park Hyuntae, Director of External and International Affairs, Kim Wosaeng, Deputy Head of the LINC3.0 Project Group, Jang Junbong, Head of the Department of Construction Systems Engineering, Professor Lee Jaekang (Department of Construction Systems Engineering), Joo Sangmu, Director of the Citizen Safety Office at Busan Facilities Corporation, Kim Jonghyun, Head of the Safety and Environment Team, Kim Gisu, Manager of the R&D TF Team, and other officials from both organizations.

Through this agreement, Dong-A University and Busan Facilities Corporation will cooperate in attracting national R&D and financial support projects, developing and consulting on infrastructure management and inspection technologies, participating in field demonstrations, sharing technologies, and jointly utilizing infrastructure.

Busan Facilities Corporation was established in 1992 to efficiently manage and operate public facilities entrusted by national and local governments, other public organizations, and the Mayor of Busan, contributing to the convenience and welfare of citizens.

In addition to being responsible for the safety of major public facilities in Busan, the corporation also pursues smart facility management utilizing advanced technologies, promotes eco-friendly projects that realize carbon neutrality and natural circulation, and fulfills the social role of a public enterprise leading mutual growth in the local community.

President Lee stated, "Dong-A University, on the verge of major trends such as Glocal University 30 and the Regional Innovation-Centered University Support System, aims to address local issues in the Busan community through the development and education of digital public safety technologies in collaboration with Busan Facilities Corporation. I hope this agreement will serve as a foundation for securing sustainable public safety in the region."

Chairperson Lee said, "We will use this agreement between the corporation and Dong-A University as a stepping stone for mutual growth, and will work together to make Busan a green and smart city for citizens by effectively utilizing the human and material infrastructure of both organizations."
