Gangnam-gu Holds 2nd Maintenance Project Academy... Special Lectures on Rapid Integrated Planning & Taxes

Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) will hold a Reconstruction Maintenance Project Academy for about 300 residents at the Gangnam-gu Community Center Auditorium from 2 to 4 p.m. on the 18th.

The district operates the academy to enhance understanding of the maintenance project process and minimize conflicts, leading to the revitalization of reconstruction. This year, four training sessions are planned, and this session is the second following the first training held on February 21, which focused on maintenance infrastructure and donation of facilities. This time, the academy will provide information on rapid integrated planning and taxes related to maintenance projects.

In the first session (2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.), Yoon Hyuk-kyung, CEO of A&U Architects Office, will lecture on rapid integrated planning, a Seoul city policy project, and special architectural zones. In the second session (3:40 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.), Lee Yoon-sil, an accountant from Sangji Accounting Corporation, will explain taxes arising from maintenance projects and tax-saving strategies.

In particular, the tax lecture is a topic covered for the first time in maintenance project education and is expected to provide practical help to residents. The district plans to offer lectures through the academy not only on the procedures of reconstruction projects but also on topics beneficial to residents' daily lives. Those who wish to attend this lecture can visit the venue on the day without any prior registration.

Jo Seong-myeong, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, stated, “As residents have high interest in reconstruction, we will make this education a place where various cases and tax-saving methods can be clearly addressed,” and added, “We will continue to enhance both the speed and transparency of maintenance projects through regular academy operations.”
