Suspect Refuses to Give Statement

Regarding the case in which a woman in her 20s was found dead last month, her boyfriend who was with her at the scene has been arrested by the police on suspicion of murder.

The Seoul Gwangjin Police Station announced on the 11th that they had arrested a man in his 20s, Mr. A, on suspicion of murder on the 7th.

According to the police, Mr. A is suspected of stabbing his girlfriend to death with a weapon at a multi-family house in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, around 5 a.m. on the 21st of last month.

The police stated that when they arrived at the scene after Mr. A's report, the victim was already deceased, and Mr. A was found collapsed with stab wounds. It was investigated that Mr. A had self-inflicted the wounds with the weapon.

Based on circumstances such as no signs of external intrusion other than Mr. A and the victim, the police have identified Mr. A as a suspect in the murder and are conducting an investigation.

So far, it is known that Mr. A has refused to make any statements during the police investigation.
