Selected as a Practical Training Institution for Cultural Arts Educators at 'Hwaseong-si Children's Culture Center'

Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi-do announced on the 11th that the Hwaseong City Children's Culture Center has been selected as the operating institution for the Gyeonggi region in the '2024 Cultural Arts Educator Internship Operation Support Project,' hosted and organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service.

The Cultural Arts Educator qualification system is a national qualification system designed to cultivate professional personnel equipped with expertise as artists and capabilities as educators, in response to the continuously increasing demand for cultural arts education personnel.

Located in Donghwa-ri, Bongdam-eup, Hwaseong City, the center will provide specialized internship programs for children based on its years of experience operating experiential centers and cultural arts education programs for children. This will allow prospective cultural arts educators to experience various cultural arts education sites and complete the course 'Understanding and Practicum of Cultural Arts Education Field.'

To this end, the center plans to recruit prospective cultural arts educators within this month and operate support programs such as field visits to cultural arts education programs, special training, and sharing workshops from July to October.

Shin Hyun-joo, Director of Welfare Bureau of Hwaseong City, stated, "We will continue to operate various cultural projects and programs through the Hwaseong City Children's Culture Center."
