Fermentation Room and Semi-Automatic Liquor Filling Machine Achieve 7 Times Higher Production Capacity Than Before

Daejeon Blues Brewery, a producer of ‘Daejeon Blues’ Makgeolli, has completed a modern factory in Pyeongchon-dong, Seo-gu.
Established in November 2020, Daejeon Blues Brewery initially produced small quantities at a factory in Guam-dong, Yuseong-gu through an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) system. As the business expanded, they built and relocated to a new factory in Pyeongchon-dong, Seo-gu.
The newly constructed factory has a total floor area of approximately 661㎡ on one floor, equipped with a fermentation room, semi-automatic liquor filling machines, brewing tanks, automatic brewing machines, pressurized distillers, and a low-temperature storage facility, enabling production capacity more than seven times the previous output.
Mayor Jang-woo Lee of Daejeon said in his congratulatory remarks, “Daejeon Blues Makgeolli, made using traditional methods as our raw Makgeolli, is expected to develop into a Daejeon specialty liquor that captivates the taste buds of people worldwide. Daejeon City will also strive to create a business-friendly city by realizing a first-class economic city and preparing support measures for local enterprises.”
Daejeon Blues Brewery, which produces distilled liquor and Makgeolli such as Hwanggeumgotgan, and Daejeon Blues raw Makgeolli, has been recommended as the official dinner drink for the United Cities and Local Governments World Summit and the 23rd Asia-Pacific Veterinary Association General Assembly.
