Metaverse specialized development company One Universe announced on the 11th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Action Square to produce game content using artificial intelligence (AI).
One Universe produces AI content primarily through its subsidiary, One Universe Labs (O.U. Labs). It plans to share AI technology research achievements with Action Square and jointly develop game content based on various AI technologies accumulated over many years.
Im Taehyun, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of One Universe's AI division, stated, "We have gained an opportunity to apply the various AI technologies researched at One Universe to commercialization projects," adding, "Through this technology, we can contribute to developing game content of a higher quality."
One Universe has been conducting various AI research for digital content development together with Professor Shin Jinwoo of KAIST Graduate School of AI, who currently serves as an outside director, and his research team. Major research topics include △ automatic in-game content translation technology using AI chatbots △ automated game asset processing pipelines utilizing generative AI △ chatbot engines that provide intelligent responses by remembering conversations with users.
Action Square expects that through cooperation with One Universe, it will present new possibilities for AI technology utilization in the gaming industry and contribute to the advancement of the digital content market.
Kim Yeonjun, CEO of Action Square, said, "I believe that AI utilization in game development has become essential," and added, "We expect that the excellent AI technology possessed by One Universe will enhance the quality and technical capabilities of the new projects that Action Square is preparing."
