Cheonan City Starts Bid for Third Consecutive Overall Victory at Chungnam Provincial Sports Festival

Held Departure Ceremony on the 10th, Vowing to Excel

Cheonan City Sports Council held the send-off ceremony for the Cheonan City team participating in the "2024 76th Chungcheongnam-do Residents Sports Festival."

The Cheonan City Sports Council held a send-off ceremony for the Cheonan City team participating in the '2024 76th Chungcheongnam-do Residents Sports Festival,' kicking off their campaign for a third consecutive overall victory.

The send-off ceremony, held on the 10th at the Handeul Culture Center, was attended by Han Namgyo, President of the Sports Council, Park Sangdon, Mayor of Cheonan, Jeong Dohee, Chairperson of the Cheonan City Council, as well as participating athletes, sports organizations, and Sports Council executives.

The Cheonan City team will compete in 30 events with 719 participants at the Chungcheongnam-do Residents Sports Festival, held from the 13th to the 16th in Seosan City, aiming for their third consecutive overall championship.

Prior to the event, the Sports Council visited practice venues for 30 events including soccer and jokgu to encourage the athletes and wish them success.

Han Namgyo, President of the Sports Council, said, “As representatives of Cheonan City, please demonstrate the skills you have honed through fair competition,” adding, “The Cheonan City Sports Council will make every effort to ensure the team achieves the best results safely.”
