Advanced Defense Industry Expo, Symposium, Seminar, and Exhibition Held
Daejeon City announced that it will hold the '2024 Republic of Korea Defense Industry Development' event at the Daejeon Convention Center from the 17th to the 19th.
Co-hosted by Daejeon City, the Army Training Command, the Army Logistics Command, and the Korea Defense MICE Research Institute, this event will feature the Advanced Defense Industry Exhibition, Logistics Industry Development in Daejeon, the Domestic Parts Development Exhibition, defense equipment and technology displays, symposiums (seminars), roundtable meetings, and export consultations.
More than 230 defense companies are expected to set up over 400 booths at the exhibition, and through seminars, symposiums, and conferences, the future development directions of defense science and technology?from space to advanced technologies?will be discussed.
Daejeon City will promote 'Defense Science City Daejeon' by installing photo zones exhibiting export infantry fighting vehicles Redback (REDBACK IFV) and wheeled armored vehicles Tigon (TIGON) combat equipment.
Lee Jang-woo, Mayor of Daejeon, said, "I hope this event will serve as an opportunity to strengthen the global competitiveness of K-defense and create synergy in the Republic of Korea's defense industry," adding, "Daejeon City will take the lead in fostering a science and technology strong military by utilizing Daejeon's strengths in advanced science and technology infrastructure."
