Changwon Facilities Corporation in Gyeongnam will implement a comprehensive heatwave response plan until early September to prevent casualties and ensure a swift response as the intense summer heat begins.
During this period, the corporation plans to continuously monitor heatwave conditions and the occurrence of heat-related illnesses to minimize damage caused by the heat.
If a heatwave advisory or warning is issued, each facility will promptly deliver heatwave information and encourage visitors to refrain from outdoor activities.
In particular, each facility has also taken preemptive measures to prevent heat-related damage by conducting heat illness prevention training and health checks.
Additionally, the corporation will focus on preventing heatwave damage by frequently inspecting facilities vulnerable to high temperatures, such as transformers and air conditioning equipment.
Chairman Kim Jonghae stated, "We will do our utmost to ensure safety and prevent any harm to our customers and citizens by thoroughly preparing for the heatwave."
