Gyeonggi Tourism Organization is introducing the 'Childcare Support Work System.'
On the 10th, Gyeonggi Tourism Organization held a joint labor-management declaration ceremony at its headquarters located in Jangan-gu, Suwon City, attended by President Jo Wonyong and the labor union chairman, to announce the introduction of the Childcare Support Work System.
The Childcare Support Work System is a new form of flexible work that employees can use during pregnancy, childcare (ages 0-5), and care periods (ages 6-8). Pregnant employees can use 2 hours of 'maternity protection time' per day throughout the entire pregnancy period, allowing them to work 4 days a week, 6 hours per day, and work from home 1 day a week for 6 hours.
Additionally, employees with children aged 0-5 can choose their work pattern from using 2 hours of special childcare leave per day (6-hour workday) and 1 day of remote work per week (6 hours), or working 4 days normally (8 hours) and taking 1 day off per week.
Employees with children aged 6-8 can use 1 hour of special care leave per day (7-hour workday) and work from home once a week (7 hours).
Jo Wonyong, President of Gyeonggi Tourism Organization, stated, "To enhance the welfare of our employees and establish ourselves as a leading family-friendly public enterprise, it is appropriate to actively and proactively review and implement such good policies as soon as possible." He added, "Please actively participate in overcoming the low birthrate crisis by revising internal regulations as soon as possible so that employees can enjoy these benefits."
Meanwhile, since being selected as a 'Family-Friendly Certified Company' by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in 2013, Gyeonggi Tourism Organization has continuously improved various systems and regulations to establish a family-friendly corporate culture for over 10 years up to this year.
