Encouraging Dongdo Middle School Students Departing for Security Education Field Experience with Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District

On the morning of the 7th, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, encouraged about 200 second-year students who were setting out from Dongdo Middle School for a field trip to Imjingak and Odusan Observatory for security education.

This field trip, held in commemoration of the Month of Patriots and Veterans and the 74th anniversary of the Korean War, was planned with the purpose of fostering students' correct historical awareness and patriotism for national security.

On this day, Mayor Park Gang-su told the students, "I believe this field trip will be an excellent unification education and security education above all," and added, "I hope you will see and feel a lot on-site the necessity and importance of unification, which you have only learned about in textbooks."
