‘Dobong Residents S.O.S, On-site Civil Complaint Consultation by the District Mayor’ Promotion
Conducted Twice in the First and Second Half of This Year, Held at Traditional Markets and Rivers in the First Half
Policy Proposals, Inconveniences, Complaints, and Suggestions from Consultations Actively Reflected in District Administration
Removal of obstacles at the bus stop near Exit 3 of Ssangmun Station in Dobong-gu, expansion of earthen road creation, and improvement of road and walking trail environments. These three issues were all complaints raised during the 'Dobong Residents S.O.S, On-site Complaint Consultation by the District Mayor' held last September, which Dobong-gu has since resolved.
In September last year, Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) received and addressed a total of 187 complaints, both large and small, regarding residents' inconveniences, suggestions, and grievances at major subway stations and commuting locations within the district.
This year, the consultations will be held twice, in the first and second halves of the year. In the first half, they will take place at traditional markets, parks, and riversides where many residents gather, and in the second half, they will be held at major subway stations frequented by commuters, as was done last year.
Mayor Oh Eon-seok of Dobong-gu will personally participate in the consultations, accompanied by district and neighborhood executives and staff to ensure prompt action on-site.
The first half on-site complaint consultations will begin on June 10 at Sinchang Market, followed by ▲Dokkaebi Market (June 12) ▲Balbadak Park (June 17) ▲Jungnangcheon Stream (June 18) ▲Sindobong Market (June 20) ▲Ssangmun Market (June 21).
For simple inconvenience complaints received through consultations and the suggestion box, responses and resolutions will be provided on-site. Complex complaints will be forwarded to the relevant departments for swift resolution.
In addition to direct consultations, the ‘Dobong Residents Suggestion Box’ next to the complaint response booth will be operated during consultation hours to allow residents to freely express their opinions about district administration. Residents with opinions about district affairs can fill out a complaint application form provided and submit it into the suggestion box.
Mayor Oh Eon-seok said, “The site is both the starting point of problems and the place where solutions exist. Through this on-site complaint consultation, we will listen carefully to even the smallest voices of our residents and strive to find answers.”
The district operates the ‘Dobong Communication Phone,’ where the mayor personally checks and responds to residents. If you have suggestions, ideas, or grievances about district administration, you can send a text message to the mayor’s dedicated mobile phone. Reported issues will receive a direct text reply within three days, and matters requiring long-term review will be separately informed of their progress.
