Cheonggu Station Ultra-Prime Location, 1,213 Households, Target Completion in 2029
Jung-gu, Seoul (Mayor Kim Gil-seong) announced on the 6th that it has approved the management disposition plan submitted by the Sindang 8 District Housing Redevelopment Maintenance Project Association. This is the first approval of the management disposition plan in six years since the project implementation plan was approved in 2018, marking a significant milestone in the project.
Located around Sindang-dong 321, Sindang 8 District is a prime location adjacent to Cheonggu Station on Subway Lines 5 and 6, making it a super transit-oriented area. It is also close to schools such as Cheonggu Elementary School, Heungin Elementary School, and Daegyeong Middle School, making it a 'school zone.' The area was designated as a maintenance project zone in 2007, and the association was established in 2016. The association aims to complete the project by 2029. Going forward, the project will proceed through procedures such as relocation and demolition after obtaining guarantees from HUG (Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation).
The Sindang 8 District redevelopment project covers an area of 58,651 square meters and will consist of 16 apartment buildings with 28 floors above ground. Various auxiliary and welfare facilities will be included, along with a newly constructed Cheonggu-dong Community Center. A total of 1,213 households will move in, including 183 rental housing units. POSCO E&C has been contracted for construction.
The management disposition plan is the stage where financial plans related to project cost calculation, disposal of association members' assets, and apartment sales plans are finalized. Mayor Kim Gil-seong stated, "We will spare no support to ensure that the project proceeds swiftly according to the residents' wishes and that construction can begin next year."
