Dongguk University Contributes to Thesis Submission and More
Dongguk University Central Library announced on the 6th that it received the Speaker of the National Assembly Award at the 22nd Korea Academic Information Council General Assembly Conference.

The Speaker of the National Assembly Award is given to institutions that have made significant contributions to the sharing and distribution of academic information. Evaluation is based on criteria such as usage performance of the National Assembly Electronic Library over the past year, use and permission of copyrighted works, and provision of original texts. At this year’s conference held on the 23rd of last month, Dongguk University Central Library, Chungnam Library, and the Korea Copyright Commission were selected as awardees.
The Korea Academic Information Council is a consortium consisting of approximately 7,158 domestic and international institutions that have signed an academic information mutual cooperation agreement with the National Assembly Library. The council engages in activities to promote academic information exchange, joint research and cooperation on electronic libraries, and activation of copyrighted work usage. It holds an annual general assembly and conference on the latest information and technology trends.
Park Jin-hee, Director of Dongguk University Central Library, said, "Dongguk University has participated in various cooperative projects such as thesis submission and providing services for the National Assembly Electronic Library." She added, "This award is highly meaningful as it recognizes the diverse activities of Dongguk University Central Library externally."
