Sahakyeongeum Receives Highest Grade for 3 Consecutive Years in Fund Management Evaluation Led by Ministry of Economy and Finance

The Only 'Excellent' Rating Among Large Funds

The Private School Teachers' Pension Service (Sahakyeongeum) announced on the 5th that it has received the highest rating of "Excellent" for three consecutive years in the "2023 Fiscal Year Fund Management Evaluation" hosted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

The fund management evaluation is conducted by an evaluation team composed of private experts according to the National Finance Act, assessing four areas: asset management system, policy establishment, investment execution process, and management performance. The evaluation ratings are classified into six categories: "Excellent," "Outstanding," "Good," "Average," "Poor," and "Very Poor."

Among the 24 funds subject to the 2023 fund management evaluation, two funds including Sahakyeongeum received the "Excellent" rating. Among these, Sahakyeongeum was the only fund classified as a large fund (with an average annual balance between 1 trillion KRW and less than 100 trillion KRW) to receive the "Excellent" rating.

The main reason Sahakyeongeum achieved the highest rating for three consecutive years is attributed to its strong performance in quantitative evaluation. Sahakyeongeum's mid- to long-term asset 3-year operating return rate was outstanding compared to other funds, and it was recognized for high performance in risk-adjusted returns and the concentration of investment products, which evaluates whether investments are diversified across various assets.

Song Hajung, Chairman of Sahakyeongeum, stated, "As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the foundation this year, we will do our best to enhance the sustainability of Sahakyeongeum by building a balanced portfolio on a large scale and increasing fund management returns through flexible investment strategies tailored to the financial market conditions."
