Jindo-gun Public Health Center Holds Meeting to Strengthen Response to Psychiatric Emergency Situations

Jindo-gun Public Health Center in Jeollanam-do held a meeting to establish a social safety net for prompt and safe on-site measures and transportation in case of psychiatric emergencies.


According to the county on the 5th, psychiatric emergencies refer to acute disturbances in accidents, behavior, mood, or social relationships, where psychiatric disorders manifest or worsen in an acute phase, potentially threatening the safety and health of the patient or others.

At this meeting, a cooperative system among related organizations was established, including the Jindo-gun Mental Health Welfare Center, Jindo Police Station, Jindo Fire Station, and psychiatric specialists, to discuss the roles and response plans of each institution.


Additionally, the current response status of each institution was reviewed, and cases of emergencies occurring in the region, difficulties, cooperation matters, and development plans were shared to facilitate communication.


A health center official stated, “The psychiatric emergency response council meeting was a meaningful occasion to discuss prompt and effective countermeasures and share information,” adding, “We will do our best in mental illness prevention projects and management of patients with mental disorders in the region to create a healthy Jindo-gun.”
