Hanyang University Selected for Battery Field in Specialized Graduate School Support Project

Hanyang University announced on the 6th that it has been selected in the battery sector in the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's 'Advanced Industry Specialized Graduate School Support Project' competition.

The Advanced Industry Specialized Graduate School project is aimed at establishing a system for nurturing and utilizing innovative master's and doctoral talents to lead the nation's advanced strategic industries. Hanyang University's Department of Battery Engineering, led by Professor Seon Yang-guk as the project director, plans to nurture innovative talents in the battery field with an annual support of 3 billion KRW for the next five years.

Hanyang University established the Department of Battery Engineering (Graduate School) in 2022 to systematically train professionals who will lead battery technology development. The Department of Battery Engineering at Hanyang University will accept applications for the 2024 academic year second semester special admission 2 from the 16th to the 20th of this month.

A Hanyang University official stated, “There will be full support for all students entering the Department of Battery Engineering in the future,” and added, “We ask for active participation and interest from students.”
