A new tourism product that allows visitors to stay for two nights or more in Incheon and enjoy its local charm has been launched.
On the 5th, Incheon City and the Incheon Tourism Organization announced that they have selected a total of four Incheon stay-type tourism products through a contest held again this year following last year, aiming to foster private-sector-led stay-type tourism.
The city plans to attract 1,500 tourists through stay-type products including last year's highly popular ▲Incheon Old&New Workation ▲Incheon Muui-do The Holiday Workation ▲Ganghwa Jamsi Island, as well as this year's newly selected ▲Open Port Ordinary Town. A total of 1,148 people experienced Incheon through the three tourism products introduced for the first time last year.
The 'Ordinary Town' product (In the Local Cooperative) allows visitors to stay at the guesthouse 'Sangwoojae' and the detached accommodation 'Boneun House' located in Incheon Open Port, enjoying the local culture of the Open Port area. The trip is designed to provide rest and inspiration in the Open Port through experiences such as exploring residential life and jazz workations.
The 'Incheon Old&New Workation (Cheonggaeguri)' has returned as Season 2 this year with diversified accommodations and product configurations. In addition to the most popular Harbor Park Hotel in Open Port from Season 1, it has partnered with Holiday Inn Incheon Songdo Hotel and Air Sky Hotel Incheon in Yeongjong-do to offer products covering the old downtown, Songdo, and Yeongjong-do. It provides the 'Incheon Noodle Pass,' which allows visitors to enjoy four bowls of Incheon's representative noodle dishes for 25,900 KRW, ensuring a gourmet tourism experience for old downtown visitors.
Also, 'Incheon, Fly with Workation (Streaming House)' is a product that combines accommodation at Nest Hotel in Yeongjong-do with Muui-do Ponae Workation Center, offering an ocean-view workation. It includes specialized experiences in fishing villages such as mudflat exploration and making conch flowerpots, gaining popularity among workation users accompanied by families.
The Ganghwa 'Jamsi Island' product (Cooperative Cheongpung) is a popular product with many repeat visitors, with the strength of allowing close experience of the lives of Ganghwa residents. Visitors can choose their own 'My Island Life' type and missions, and select local experiences such as island yoga and swing dance, enabling a customized local life experience in Ganghwa.
Kim Chung-jin, Director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of Incheon City, said, "Incheon is a place where the true charm can be felt the longer you stay," adding, "We hope that stay-type tourism products will increase the resident population of Incheon, respond to the population extinction crisis, and contribute to the revitalization of the old downtown."
Detailed information and reservation inquiries for the tourism products are available through each company's website, and reservations can be made after consulting about the stay schedule.
