[Featured Stock] SP Soft, AI 'MS Dominance' Ally... KT-US MS Trillion-Won 'AI Alliance'

SP Soft is showing strong performance. The news that KT has formed a multi-trillion won artificial intelligence (AI) alliance with Microsoft (MS) in the United States appears to be influencing the stock price. This is the first time that MS, a global leader in generative AI, has partnered with a domestic company on an AI project.

As of 9:57 a.m. on the 5th, SP Soft is trading at 17,180 won, up 6.7% from the previous day.

On the 3rd (local time), KT signed a strategic partnership with MS at MS headquarters in Raymond, Washington, USA, to collaborate in AI, cloud, and information technology (IT) fields. The two companies agreed to form a joint AI and cloud research and development project. They set goals to develop Korean-style AI, cloud, and IT services and to establish an AI and cloud innovation center. They will also promote talent development in the AI and cloud sectors. The scale of investment by both companies in this collaboration is reported to reach trillions of won.

SP Soft is partnering with MS to hold a seminar aimed at expanding the domestic market for the generative AI software program “Copilot” license. Through this seminar, the two companies plan to maximize the adoption of Copilot in work environments and increase its market share in Korea.

The seminar will be held on the 14th at the Microsoft Korea training center in Jongno. SP Soft plans to showcase a more advanced version of Copilot and ways to utilize it effectively in actual work settings during the seminar.

Previously, SP Soft applied Copilot to technical support data analysis and data extraction necessary for issuing tax invoices, improving work efficiency. Based on these achievements, SP Soft is preparing a dedicated Copilot service that can be applied to various tasks to maximize productivity.

SP Soft has maintained a close cooperative relationship with MS as a major SPLA (Service Provider License Agreement) license distributor. Based on its partnership with MS, SP Soft plans to provide customized Copilot services and operational support services to customers in the future.

An SP Soft representative said, “Since the launch of the Korean-language Copilot, its application has been expanding mainly among existing customers, and new customers are steadily increasing. We expect the adoption of MS Copilot in work environments in Korea to accelerate significantly starting with this seminar.”

He added, “MS Copilot is an excellent solution to improve the common issues of declining work and production efficiency faced by domestic companies. We will strengthen our cooperative relationship with MS to help MS Copilot secure a leading position in the AI field in the Korean market.”
