The government announced on the 4th that it will suspend administrative disciplinary procedures when residents return to hospitals to ensure there are no obstacles for residents who left to return.
Cho Gyu-hong, Minister of Health and Welfare, stated at a briefing on medical reform issues held at the Government Seoul Office that "When residents return, we will suspend administrative disciplinary procedures so that they can focus on their training without legal burdens."
Minister Cho added, "We will ensure that residents who return promptly can continue their training without disruption," and "We will promote measures such as adjusting the training period so that they can obtain their specialist qualifications at the necessary time."
