We Are All One Family!... Multicultural Families from Cheongsong County Participate in the Gyeongbuk World Citizens Day Festival

Cheongsong County, North Gyeongsang Province, announced that around 50 multicultural families from Cheongsong participated in the '2024 Gyeongbuk World Day Festival' held at the Andong Mask Dance Park area on June 1.

This event was organized to commemorate the '17th World Day' and to create a venue for harmony among people from around the world living in North Gyeongsang. More than 1,500 participants, including marriage migrant women, other foreign residents, and Korean citizens, attended to enjoy and communicate together.


The event began with a pre-ceremony performance by the Andong International Mask Dance Festival mascot troupe, followed by a harmony ceremony, a world traditional costume parade, Dansimjul weaving, Nanta, choir performances, Zumba dance, and Samulnori, offering a wide variety of attractions.


The Cheongsong Multicultural Family Support Center operated an Indian culture booth, where participants could try on traditional Indian costumes and take instant photos, as well as experience traditional Indian incense.


County Governor Yoon Kyunghee said, "I hope that being invited to this space of harmony where people from all over the world come together will be an opportunity for everyone to feel that we are global citizens united in sharing inspiration and joy."
