Junggi Distribution Center Achieves $11 Million Export Consultation Results at Amsterdam Exhibition

Joint Korean Pavilion Operation at Exhibition
Support for 10 Participating Domestic SMEs

The Small and Medium Business Distribution Center secured export consultations worth $11 million (approximately 15 billion KRW) and signed six export agreements at an exhibition held in the Netherlands.

The Center announced on the 4th that it achieved these results by participating in the PLMA exhibition held in Amsterdam, Netherlands, from the 28th to 29th of last month. PLMA is the world's largest PV (Private Brand) specialized consumer goods exhibition organized by the World Manufacturers Association. More than 28,000 big buyers with purchasing power from 120 countries, including Costco, Walmart, Target, and Albert Heijn, attended.


The Center formed a joint Korean pavilion at the exhibition to support the participation and purchase consultations of 10 domestic small and medium enterprises. Five food companies, including frozen foods, gim (seaweed), and beverages, and five household goods companies, such as candles and airtight containers, recorded 159 export consultations with local European buyers over two days, amounting to $11 million in consultation value.


Tulip International, a participating company in this exhibition, showcased aloe and coconut beverages and signed three export agreements with European retail buyers on-site. Garimi, a gim company, signed two agreements with buyers from Lithuania and others, and Sea World, a bugak (fried seaweed snack) company, promised one export agreement with an Austrian buyer. In total, six agreements were signed through this exhibition.


Lee Tae-sik, CEO of the Small and Medium Business Distribution Center, said, "Starting with participation in the PLMA Korean pavilion, we promise unwavering support for excellent Korean small and medium enterprises to participate in international exhibitions."
