On the 3rd, Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province held an awards ceremony for the 'First Half Year Exemplary Active Administration Cases' in the city hall's main conference room, recognizing public officials who improved city administration with innovative policy ideas.

At the ceremony, certificates were presented to public officials responsible for eight exemplary cases selected through the Pyeongtaek City Active Administration Committee, including 2 Excellence Awards, 4 Encouragement Awards, and 2 Effort Awards.
The Excellence Awards were given to Jin Sun-mi, a public official from the Public Transportation Division, who enhanced mobility convenience for transportation-disadvantaged individuals by improving special transportation means and introducing voucher taxis; Kim Myung-jin, team leader of the Resource Circulation Division, who increased resource recycling rates through robot collectors; the Social Welfare Division, which simplified procedures of the Local Living Security Committee; and the Forestry and Greenery Division, which created neighborhood walking paths utilizing buffer green spaces. The city plans to provide various performance bonuses according to the award levels for these exemplary active administration cases.
Jang Jang-seon, Mayor of Pyeongtaek City, stated, "We will continue to foster a public service atmosphere that works innovatively beyond established practices through active administration, with all public officials working together toward this goal."
