Exclusive Robot Delivery Service for Residents at Raemian Leaders One
Pilot Program Until September, Then Expansion Planned

Samsung C&T Construction Division announced on the 4th that it will pilot an outdoor robot delivery service called 'DeliPickMe' for apartment residents.

To this end, Samsung C&T signed a business agreement with Newbility, an autonomous driving robot service company, the day before.

Existing autonomous driving robots were limited to restricted spaces due to the regulatory sandbox system. However, with the revision and enforcement of the Road Traffic Act and the Intelligent Robot Act last year, outdoor delivery services by robots that have obtained operation safety certification and insurance have become possible.

The 'DeliPickMe' service introduced by Samsung C&T connects apartment complexes with nearby commercial areas and will be first piloted at Raemian Leaders One in Seocho-gu, Seoul, which was completed in 2020.

Residents can conveniently receive food and beverages from nearby stores with just one click, as the autonomous driving robot handles everything from pickup, passing through alleys, crossing crosswalks, to delivery within the complex immediately after ordering. Samsung C&T also plans to introduce events such as free delivery with no minimum order amount.

This service will be piloted until September, after which the delivery range will be expanded. The service scope will also be broadened to include delivery of personal luggage and parcels directly to residents' doors.
