Lotte Chemical Holds Agreement Ceremony to Promote Win-Win Cooperation Culture in Petrochemical Industry

"Efforts to Spread the Value of Coexistence and Cooperation Across Industries"

On the afternoon of the 3rd, Lotte Chemical announced that it held a signing ceremony for the 'Spread of Win-Win Cooperation Culture in the Petrochemical Industry' at Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, Seoul, with the Ministry of Employment and Labor and representatives of partner companies.

Attending the signing ceremony were Lee Hoon-ki, Chief Representative of Lotte Group's Chemical Division, Hwang Jin-gu, Head of Lotte Chemical's Basic Materials Business, Lee Young-jun, Head of Advanced Materials Business, Lee Jeong-sik, Minister of Employment and Labor, Lee Dae-hee, CEO of Dubon, and Han Dong-hoon, CEO of Woojin Polymer.


Lotte Chemical and Lotte Group's chemical affiliates plan to establish reasonable measures to actively support improvements in working conditions such as enhancing the safety and welfare of partner company workers, building human resource infrastructure, and supporting the foundation for productivity, expertise improvement, and self-reliance.


Partner companies will actively improve workers' working environments and conduct training to strengthen capabilities for mutual growth and development. The Ministry of Employment and Labor will actively support the efforts of companies, including Lotte Chemical and its partners, for autonomous win-win cooperation in the petrochemical industry.


CEO Lee Hoon-ki said, "We will actively cooperate to improve the safety culture, welfare, productivity, and expertise of partner companies and work together to create a virtuous industrial ecosystem for sustainable growth. Along with all affiliates of Lotte Group's chemical division, we will ensure that the value of coexistence and cooperation becomes a positive influence that spreads throughout the petrochemical industry."


Minister Lee Jeong-sik of the Ministry of Employment and Labor stated, "As ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management is important in this era, in the second half of this year, we will prepare opportunities to share the achievements and cases of coexistence with companies participating in the win-win model and widely promote win-win efforts as an ESG leading company."
