Actress Yu Tae-oh's wife and photographer Nikki Ri denied allegations that she defended Kim Hee-young, chairwoman of the T&C Foundation and mistress of SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won. On the 2nd, Nikki Ri posted on her Instagram, "I briefly posted some thoughts on trust, but I was very bewildered and surprised by the unexpected slanderous comments," adding, "It was a completely unrelated post, so I was shocked that people could speculate in that direction. I realized that posting such a post at this time might have given room for such speculation, which reminded me of the saying, 'Do not adjust your hat string under the plum tree.'"

She continued, "That post has nothing to do with the incident mentioned in the speculative comments," and said, "The people I love in the post are different from the specific individuals referred to in the comments." She added, "From now on, I will be careful about such misunderstandings and speculative comments when writing posts, so I have decided not to write Instagram feed posts unless necessary," and said, "It's a pity. Thank you to those who have read my Instagram posts well so far."
Earlier, on the 1st, Nikki Ri wrote on Instagram, "I don't really trust the people I love. I wonder what’s so important about trust. Honestly, I don’t even know what to believe. Betrayal? That’s just a change of heart; is there really trust or distrust in that?" She added, "What I can do is, even if the people I love have done something bad, to put aside whether they really did it or not, whether I believe or doubt it, and even if they lie or do bad things, to stay by their side consistently." She said, "That seems more important to me than trust," and added, "When trust is broken, you get disappointed and tend to leave. I hate trust."
Subsequently, some online circles speculated that her post was defending Chairman Chey Tae-won and Chairwoman Kim Hee-young. This post was made after the second trial ruling on the divorce lawsuit between Chairman Chey and Noh So-young, director of the Art Center Nabi, and it is known that Nikki Ri and Yu Tae-oh have close ties with the two. Photos of Chairman Chey, Yu Tae-oh, Chairwoman Kim, and Nikki Ri together also drew renewed attention.
Meanwhile, on the 30th of last month, the Family Division 2 of the Seoul High Court ruled, "Chairman Chey must pay Director Noh 2 billion won in alimony and 1.3808 trillion won in property division." This amount is more than 20 times the 100 million won in alimony and 66.5 billion won in property division recognized in the first trial in December 2022, and the property division is reportedly the largest ever known to date.
