700,000 Won Per Person for 10 Months When Hiring New Employees
Recruitment Incentive Program Open Until the 21st... Second Round of Applications for Participating Companies
Hamyang County in Gyeongnam has been implementing the 'Employment Incentive Support Project for SMEs and Small Business Owners' as a special job creation policy since 2019. This year, the county has secured a budget of 240 million KRW, aiming to create up to 35 new jobs and revitalize the local economy.
Any SME or small business owner with a workplace in Hamyang County who employs at least two people and is enrolled in employment insurance is eligible to apply. If selected, businesses will receive an employment incentive of 7 million KRW per newly hired employee in 2024 (700,000 KRW per month for 10 months).
The county recruited 25 people in March and plans to recruit 10 more in June. Businesses wishing to participate in the employment incentive support project should submit an application to the Hamyang County Job and Economy Division by June 21.
A county official stated, "This is a mutually beneficial project that helps businesses struggling with economic downturns and financial difficulties to overcome employment contraction, while also creating jobs for job-seeking residents." The official added, "We hope for active participation from local SMEs and small business owners."
