Anseong City Promotes Baudeogi and Others at the '2024 Cultural City Expo'

On the 3rd, Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it participated in the '2024 Cultural City Expo' held from the 30th of last month to the 2nd of this month at the Legoland Korea Resort parking lot in Chuncheon City, Gangwon Province, and carried out various city promotion activities.

Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, and the National Council of Cultural Cities, this event served as a platform for exchange among local governments to spread the achievements of cultural city policies and widely promote project activities.

At this event, Anseong City participated in the cultural city promotional hall jointly operated by 24 cultural cities from the 1st to 4th rounds and 4 preliminary cultural cities. The city introduced the 'Anseong City Republic of Korea Cultural City Development Project' and offered diverse content including ▲ an exhibition of crafts directly made by cultural (preliminary) artisans ▲ a Q&A corner to showcase the unique charm of Anseong, a city tailored to Anseongmat-chum ▲ and a stamp tour providing Baudeogi goods.

Kim Bora, Mayor of Anseong City, said, "This event was an opportunity to empathize with and learn from the paths cultural cities have taken," adding, "Through exchanges between cities, it became a chance to share ideas and experiences regarding urban development directions and to build a cooperative network, thereby enhancing the driving force for project implementation."
