This social donation campaign was organized to assist 1-year-old Hayeon, who had to spend Children's Day in the hospital due to full-body burns. The fundraising, which started on April 29, attracted so much attention that it exceeded 100 million KRW in just two days and was closed early.
The 111.01 million KRW raised this time is the largest amount in Tmon's social donation campaign history. Tmon stated that it will use the entire donated amount for Hayeon's burn treatment without deducting any fees or operating expenses.
Since 2010, Tmon has been conducting social donation campaigns in cooperation with non-profit organizations as part of its social contribution program to support socially marginalized groups. Last year, it also donated about 32 million KRW raised through social donations to the Bestian Foundation to support burn patients' families and outstanding firefighters nationwide.
Lee Suhyun, Executive Director of External Cooperation at Tmon, said, "Thanks to the overwhelming support and many people participating in donations by sharing Hayeon's story, we achieved a record-breaking fundraising amount. We will continue to collaborate with the Bestian Foundation to support burn patients waiting for help throughout society."
